Dear Friends,

It is with immense pleasure and pride that I welcome you to the 40th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress, held in conjunction with the 83rd Annual Conference of the All India Ophthalmological Society (APAO-AIOC), from April 3-6, 2025, in the vibrant and historic city of New Delhi, the capital of India. The venue for this landmark event is Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre/ IICC), one of the largest and most modern convention centers in the world, providing an inspiring setting for our gathering.

This conference brings together the brightest minds from across the world, and we are excited to host them. The coming days promise to be an extraordinary opportunity for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and advancing the future of eye care.

As we embark on this exciting journey of learning, collaboration, and innovation, I encourage each of you to seize every opportunity to engage with colleagues, exchange ideas, and build new partnerships that will shape the future of ophthalmology. Together, we can continue to make significant strides in improving patient outcomes and advancing the science of ophthalmology.

The APAO 2025 Congress is introducing a special hybrid format, allowing delegates to attend either physically in New Delhi, or virtually from anywhere in the world.

We understand that our colleagues from certain countries and regions are facing challenges in obtaining Indian visas to join us in person, and we hope this new arrangement will facilitate their participation.

Selected sessions will be accessible via a live streaming platform. To view the schedule, please visit the APAO Hybrid website.

To join us remotely, you may purchase a Virtual Pass via the APAO Scientific Portal.


For delegates attending the Congress in person, you will soon receive a confirmation letter from our local host, the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). Please check the email address which you used to register for the event.   

Using the QR code in the confirmation letter, you can print your name badge at the Registration Counter, located in the Grand Foyer of IICC with the following opening hours:

We are pleased to announce that the Final Program Book and Abstract Book of the APAO 2025 Congress have been released on the Congress publication website. During the Congress, you will also be able to navigate through the schedules of all scientific sessions and other essential information about the Congress via the interactive AIOS Scientific Committee mobile application, downloadable by scanning/clicking one of these QR codes:

The 40th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress, New Delhi, India 02/04/2025 – 06/04/2025 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 28.0 European CME credits (EACCME®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. 

The EACCME® awards EACCME®s on the following basis: 
0.5 EACCME® for 30 minutes of CME with a maximum of 8 EACCME®’s per day. 

Breakdown of EACCME®s per day for APAO 2025 Congress: 

  • 02/04/2025 – 0.0 

  • 03/04/2025 – 8.0 

  • 04/04/2025 – 8.0 

  • 05/04/2025 – 7.5 

  • 06/04/2025 – 4.5 

Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation in the event once he/she has completed the feedback form.  

*The credits apply to both delegates participating in person and virtually.

This party is open to ALL delegates. No ticket is required, but make sure you wear your delegate badge, which will allow your admission.
